DAY 1 - ASSISI

Arrival at Assisi, known all over the world for its dearest son: Saint Francesco, medieval city still protected by strong city walls it stands on the western spur of Subasio mountain. Tour of the city with its artistic beauties as Minerva temple, San Francesco and Santa Maria degli Angeli churches. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon visit to Eremo delle carceri where Saint Francesco of Assisi retired to pray. It is 4 km far from Assisi and 791 m. above sea level on Subasio mountainside. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 - ROCCAPORENA - CASCIA - NORCIA

Breakfast and departure for Roccaporena home town of Saint Rita, tour of the places dear to the saint during her life as young woman, bride, mother and after the assassination of her husband as widow. Departure for Cascia Where the saint lived between 1381 and 1457. Visit of the church and the monastery of Saint Rita and Saint Francesco's church. Lunch at the restaurant and in the afternoon departure for Norcia. Visit of the city situated in the national park of Sibillini Mountains considered the most attractive centre of Valnerina, here were born Saint Benedetto and Saint Scolastica, the first one is considered the father of western monasticism and patron saint of Europe. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - MONTECASSINO - POMPEII

Breakfast and departure for Monte Cassino, visit to the abbey situated 500 m. above sea level where Benedetto da Norcia in 529 created a small oratory which then became mother house of Benedictine. The abbey is now a perfect reconstruction of the old abbey completely destroyed by an air raid during World War the second. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Pompeii, visit of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Rosary of Pompeii. The history of the sanctuary if strictly bound to its founder Bartolo Longo. Departure for Benevento, hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 - PIETRALCINA - SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Breakfast and departure for Pietralcina where on the 25 of May 1887 was born Padre Pio. Visit of the house of the saint and Holy Family church. Departure for San Giovanni Rotondo with stop for lunch. Visit to Santa Maria delle Grazie Sanctuary with the convent of Capuchin an old and a new church. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight.
